Cedric Small

Cedric Small is an accomplished litigation attorney with a diverse background spanning civil litigation, municipal law, real estate matters, and the mortgage servicing industry. Drawing on more than 15 years of combined legal and business experience, he provides clients with practical, strategic counsel grounded in both legal insight and real-world industry knowledge.

As an Associate Attorney at Michael Garcia, P.A., Cedric represents businesses, municipalities, and individuals in a wide range of civil and commercial disputes. His practice includes business and contract litigation, construction and real estate matters, municipal code enforcement, and other complex litigation issues. He manages all phases of the litigation process, from case evaluation and legal research to discovery, motion practice, settlement negotiations, and courtroom advocacy. He also regularly represents municipalities in code enforcement proceedings and related governmental matters.

Before joining the firm, Cedric represented mortgage servicers and lenders in foreclosure litigation and spent several years in leadership positions within the mortgage servicing, asset management, and private equity sectors. In these roles, he oversaw large portfolios of distressed assets, directed nationwide litigation and foreclosure strategies, conducted complex due diligence, negotiated settlements, and served as a corporate representative in hearings, mediations, and trials.

Earlier in his career, Cedric served in public interest law, helping homeowners navigate foreclosure-related challenges through counseling, education, and legal representation. This experience helped shape his client-focused approach and commitment to delivering practical solutions to complex legal problems.
