Professional Background

Michael Garcia is an experienced and fearless litigator that represents a diverse list of businesses, government entities and individuals. Michael’s clients are involved in various industries such as Construction, Health Care, Textile, Real Estate, and Local Government. Michael has more than 21 years of combined experience as an Attorney and Paralegal.

The complexities of the various cases have allowed Michael to develop his litigation skills to specifically tailor the litigation strategy to meet the uniqueness of each case. In addition, Michael has also drafted various commercial, construction and municipal agreements which has enabled Michael to effectively advise his clients regarding the terms of such agreements.

Michael has significant Florida Municipal Law experience. Michael is part of a team that currently represents the City of North Lauderdale. Michael’s extensive experience involves code violations, code enforcement hearings, appeals, lien reduction hearings and municipal foreclosure action. Michael has also represented various corporations, developers and contractors that conducted business with municipalities throughout the State of Florida. Michael has been involved in numerous successful bid protests on behalf of numerous contractors, vendors and government entities. Finally, Michael is also the Special Magistrate for the Town of Southwest Ranches.

Michael also has extensive construction litigation experience regarding Ch. 713, Fl. Stat., lien foreclosure actions, construction defect action, unlicensed contractor actions, wrongful termination, fraudulent inducement and breach of contract actions.

Michael also has extensive real estate dispute experience regarding partition, specific performance, slander of title, title disputes, evictions, unlawful detainers and foreclosure.

Michael also represents several corporations handling all of their legal matters including shareholder disputes, contractual disputes, employment agreements, non-compete agreements and non-disclosure agreements.
